So for the long weekend (is June really over?!) we have had the company of two new dog friends. One of them is Willow. She's our neighbour's boxer puppy (7 or 8 months), and she is a real sweetheart.
She's a bit bigger than Mayble is used to having around, but she is just a baby.
Big puppies are funny because they aren't that aware of just how big they actually are. Plus they are all awkward and goofy.
Copper is here too, all the way from ile bizard! She spent the first day looking for her parents and wondering where she was...
poor girl. Can you imagine how traumatic it must be for her?
She's over it now, and Willow has really helped her take her mind off of missing her parents.
This photo sums up the nature of their realtionship. This is what's called Puppy Love.

SUMMERTIME
Well finally the weather is warm.
And what better way to spend a lovely summer day than in the park? Just ask Mayble and Cassidy.
Ryan was kind enough to donate his old mexican blanket to the dogs...trying to outlaw our guests from using the couch proved to be futile, so now they pretty much own it.
We were lucky enough to get out of town recently, so of course we packed up the dogs and headed up to Hudson.
Kali and Mayble had the pleasure of roaming free which is always nice for them.
....it's nice for the humans too.
There's a beach near the house.
Mayble really loves the water,
but there's something about swimming that she's not too keen on.
As soon as her feet can no longer touch the bottom,...
she's out of there! We're hoping she'll get into it more this summer. I think if we can go in with her she'll be less weirded out, but i'm not about to wade out into the Parc Lafontaine water.

**LOLA**
Our buddy Lola will be hanging with us for the summer. Sort of like day-camp. We know her pretty well and she just loves everybody.
Lola is a "puggle" and she's so hilarious. She and Mayble are old friends.
She might be a small girl...
...but she sure can hold her own.
She really likes to wrestle with the big dogs.
Lola also really likes to lick inside their ears.
And mouth too.
Cassidy was not too into it.
At first!
But she came around.
(Lola kind of forced her into it)
But not really.
One time we couldn't find her....
Lola likes to hide.
What a character...i mean she should be. she's kind of inspiring a character for one of our projects. Couldn't you just see an animated lola?
