It's no secret that Tim Burton loves dogs (and Johnny Depp and black and white stripes and Helena Bonham Carter). He almost always has them in his films. Spot in PeeWee's BIg Adventure, Zero in the N.B.C, the dog that kills the couple in Beetleguese, the dog salon in Edward Scissorhands...he likes them trust me.
Here is one of his first films. A short he did for Disney called "Frankenweenie". The story of a boy who's best buddy gets hit by a car and he brings him back to life.
